Give and ‘live forever’
- At the core of fundraising is people motivating people to give (financially). At the core of volunteering is people giving their time.

- Writing a check isn’t the only way to give. Lamb’s mother motivated her to consider volunteering, giving her time, as a teenager in the Summer. In the first post in a Series which covered several aspects of non-profit fundraising, Lamb warmly shared:
“My mother gave me [3 choices] in the Summer time. She said you’ll either work, you’ll go to school (do something educational), or you will volunteer. Those are your three choices. [Half of the time] I chose to be a volunteer. That’s really what got me started in the non-profit sector”.
